The Nigeria of My Dreams
I see a NEW NIGERIA!
STRONG! BEAUTIFUL! And FREE!
Free from corruption. Free from injustice. Free from the cabal. Free from the men of the underworld. Free from the old and tired men and women who litter our corridors of power pedaling their trade of money guzzling. Free from the Nigerian Police men and women who wield their guns because of a 20 naira note. Free from strikes, agitations and kidnaps in our body polity. Free from hardened criminals who are the result of government’s failure to plan and to provide the enabling environment for them to thrive as a people. Free from the stranglehold of the People’s Democratic Party, a party full of ex government officials, ex military men and the likes of them who have perfected the art and the act of stealing and looting our coffers. Free from nepotism, tribalism, and hooliganism.
I envision the Nigeria of my dreams, full of life, love and truth.
I envision the Nigeria where everything works and everyone is happy, free and proud to be a Nigerian.
I envision the Nigeria where the Airports are free from touts, where our roads are motorable and not death traps.
I envision a NEW NIGERIA, where the government is responsible, responsive and resourceful.
I see Nigeria taking it’s rightful place within the comity of Nations as the No. 1 nation in the world with a strong, dynamic and emerging economy.
I see a New Nigeria with proper infrastructures in place, a Nigeria where hospitals and schools and every needed amenity is planned for and provided for by the government.
I see a Nigeria that is organized and ready for the global opportunities prevalent in the world, a Nigeria that enables foreign investors to come in and thrive because of the numerous potentials in our nation, as we have it all! people, places, and incredible material resources prevalent in our nation.
I see a New Nigeria where all the diaspora people clamour to return to take their place and help in the rebuilding and repositioning of our fatherland.
I see a New Nigeria where the cost of talk is cheap, affordable and accessible to all and sundry.
I see a Nigeria where there will be no common man on the street but a Nigeria full of agile, productive and progressive men, women and children, who are all respected, happy and blessed.
I see the New Nigeria with young, strong, able, determined, committed, dynamic, creative, proactive and productive leaders, people like Fela Durotoye, Agatha Amata, and the unknown yet strong visionaries who are passionate about the Nigerian state, and who can see tomorrow today!
I see a blossoming, f flourishing and thriving Nigeria, a Nation of greatness, glory and great grace!
I see the Nigerian of my dreams, so unimaginable, simply indescribable and unstoppable because of it’s beauty, it’s glory and it’s splendour!
Is my dream possible?
Will my dream ever materialize?
I say it will materialize and that it is POSSIBLE!
We all as a people who are genuine and passionate Nigerians must make our dream our REALITY!
We must awake to true Nation building! We must be the CHANGE WE SEEK anywhere we find ourselves! We must practice what we preach! We must change our mindsets and re-orientate our minds and change our perceptions of our Nation! We must join the present government in reshaping the Nation not just re-branding which has become a cliché to my ears!
We must arise and build together our FATHERLAND! We have been on this road long enough! We have stayed on this mountain too long!
It is time for reawakening and renewal of our Nation! Let’s become the SOLUTIONS WE SEEK! Long live Nigeria! Long live my Fatherland God bless our President!
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE TO ALL NIGERIANS BOTH AT HOME AND ABROAD!
